After six days, Tamil Nadu Premier League action returns to NPR College Ground, Natham as Chepauk Super Gillies host VB Kanchi Veerans on Tuesday. This might promise to be an exciting encounter as both sides tussle to bag two points.
Chepauk have not stamped their authority this season, but the boys are reluctant not to sit back. Karthik and Gopinath have been among runs in the recent innings and will look to add more this game. Ganga Sridhar Raju has produced starts, but he has failed to capitalise with that score. Murugan Ashwin has been batting higher up the order, and he has done no harm to his reputation by scoring runs whenever hist team requires him to do. Sasidev can adopt to the innings, whereas Harish Kumar and Aarif have the capability to slog towards the end. With the ball, Siddarth, Vishaal, Arun, Ashwin and Alexander have been doing fair amount of job to the team. If needed, bench is also strong for the Gillies.
Siddarth and Arun are the openers for VB Kanchi Veerans. They have shown flashes of brilliance with their bat. Deeban Lingesh has been consistent in this year’s edition, whereas, Skipper Aparajith has been one of the stand out players for the Veerans in recent games. Sanjay Yadav, Mokit and Francis Rokins have the capability to hit the ball hard at the end and even adapt according to the match situations. Divakar, Aushik, Chandrasekar, Sanjay , Mokit and Sriram can cause havoc to any batting lineup.
With both the teams hoping to securing two points, it will be quite interesting to see who comes out top and wins the game. Run feast is expected at this ground.
