Baba Aparajith was the pick for Kanchi Veerans with the ball.
VB Kanchi Veerans got off to a very good start. Vishal Vaidhiya and Arun looked in excellent touch, until they both fell within two deliveries. Sivakumar and Samruddh Bhat helped with the breakthrough. Subsquently, Mokit was dismissed by Sivakumar to put pressure on the Veerans. Aparajith and Francis played a slow innings, courtesy to Chepauk bowlers’ hitting the deck hard. M Ashwin took the important wicket of Aparajith, whereas Francis was run out. Sanjay Yadav was also run out for a score of 12. Deepan Lignesh, Sunil Sam, Chandrasekhar and Divakar played out a good hand worth 65 runs, but it was not enough as Kanchi Veerans lost the game by 15 runs.
