Ranji Trophy 2018/19: A look at Tamil Nadu's squad

Tamil Nadu take on Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy as the new season kicks off at Dindigul today. The likes of Abhinav Mukund, Murali Vijay, Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar, Ravichandran Ashwin and Dinesh Karthik are included alongside the former Chepauk bowler Sai Kishore. It has been exactly 30 years since the South Indian state has lifted this prized accolade. After having a dismal time by missing out on the Tamil Nadu Premier League this season, the all-rounder will be determined to make it count for the state team. In the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy, Abhinav Mukund was the leading scorer for the team with 560 runs from 9 innings, mustering four 50’s and one century.

Additionally, Ravichandran Ashwin, Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik experience who have played tons of international cricket will be hoping to assist the team by putting in good performances.
